Labels & Labeling:
UPM Raflatachas introduced its Dogbone Freeze RFID tag which is designed for frozen environment supply chain applications. It is aimed at applications where down to -40C/F degree operating temperature is required.
Metro Group has been using the Dogbone Freeze product in its RFID pilot project at a distribution center for frozen foods in Hamm, Germany, and reports excellent results. The retailer uses the tags to automate the collection of data for the receiving and storage of goods, as well as tracking its inventory. Metro Group places RFID tags on pallets and on the locations where the pallets are stored; interrogators are installed on forklifts and at the gates of the distribution center.
